SCB59, African Batik Bone Beads with Stars, Loose

SCB59, African Batik Bone Beads with Stars, Loose

These batik beads have a white star that varies in shape; there are 3 stars on each bead. Bead shape and color vary. Size is 22-27mm wide depending on the bead shape and about 15mm long. These beads are hand-carved from hollow bones and then batiked. As with all of these type of beads, a wooden plug was made to fill the hollow part of the bead and a stringing hole drilled into the plug. The plugs were dyed dark brown to match the bead and when you first get the beads, some of the dye may rub off. I cleaned all of these beads and have gotten most of the loose dye off. If you need to clean them more, just use a rag and some spray cleaner--I used windex just because it was handy but anything would work, probably even water. Also, as the beads age the plug sometimes loosens as it dries more; I just add a drop of super glue to plug. Price is per bead.

      News Update

    21 APRIL 2012
NO MORE SALES FOR AWHILE; I HAVE BEEN IN A BAD ACCIDENT AND CANNOT DEAL WITH MY STORE NOW.

    7 APRIL 2012

DISCOUNTS NOW HAVE A SEPERATE SECTION CALLED SALES IN LOWER LEFT HAND COLUMN OF THIS PAGE UNDER STORE LINKS. YOU CAN STILL GET 40%,50%,AND 60% DISCOUNTS

MORE ITEMS HAVE BEEN ADDED. BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE TRADE BEAD JEWELRY SECTION; SOME OF THE ITEMS CAN BE TAKEN APART AND THE BEADS USED FOR YOUR PROJECTS.

RECENTLY GOT IN ANOTHER BUNCH OF PADRES; THE PRICE KEEPS GOING UP AS WITH ALL THE OLD TRADE BEADS AND MY DEALER SAID HE WASN'T SURE HOW MANY MORE HE COULD GET; ALSO COULD NOT GET ANY OF THE TRANSLUCENT RED OR THE COBALT PADRES.

AND I FINALLY FOUND A STRAND OF RARE GREEN FRENCH CROSS BEADS THAT I WILL BE LISTING SOON. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY OF THESE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. ALSO A STRAND OF PRETTY GOOD MEDICINE MAN BEADS.

REMEMBER THAT LOOSE BEADS ARE TYPICALLY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A STRAND OF THE SAME BEADS.

I HAVE MANY MORE BEADS NOT YET IN MY STORE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING AND CANNOT FIND IT ASK ME.

I CONTINUE TO USE A PORTION OF MY STORE SALES TO HELP SUPPORT CANINE ANGELS SERVICE TEAMS (http://www.canine-angels.org/) AN ORGANIZATION THAT TRAINS SERVICE DOGS FOR KIDS.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.
